Intensive Training Shapes Startup Solutions
Over the two days, participating startups were immersed in a hands-on development process. The second day centered on building out business models using Lean Canvas training and one-on-one mentoring sessions. These sessions guided founders in refining their ideas, clarifying their value propositions, and aligning their solutions directly with the needs of local citizens and municipalities. The event also included dedicated pitch training and a final review to help teams sharpen their presentations.
Connecting Innovators with Civic Needs
The hackathon culminated with teams presenting promising solutions tailored to the challenges faced by their respective municipalities. The Urban Up initiative is built on a foundation of partnership, actively collaborating with the municipalities of Nablus, Dura, Al-Eizariya, and Birzeit. By connecting innovators with real-world problems identified on the ground, the program aims to transform concepts into viable products that can improve the quality of municipal services for residents. Organizers have confirmed that the top-performing teams will be welcomed into the upcoming incubation phase to further develop their projects.
