Wadi Makkah Technology, the investment arm of Umm Al-Qura University, has launched a service designed to help global companies establish, operate and expand their businesses in Saudi Arabia.
Launched alongside World Entrepreneurs’ Day, the service offers support across the market-entry journey, from incorporation and setup to operations, growth and expansion. According to the Saudi Press Agency, the initiative aims to attract high-quality companies and promising investment while strengthening entrepreneurship and innovation in Makkah.
The service is also intended to connect international companies with local entrepreneurs and small and medium-sized businesses, creating opportunities for partnerships and knowledge transfer. The company said this could help bring new technologies and expertise to the region, develop local value chains and create specialised investment and employment opportunities.
Makkah’s expanding technology, services, Hajj and Umrah, hospitality, tourism and knowledge-economy sectors could provide a base for companies developing solutions for areas with growing demand, according to the announcement.
Through its investment and entrepreneurship ecosystem, Wadi Makkah Technology also supports startups and innovative companies by connecting them with investment and market opportunities.
