Egypt’s IoT and AI Challenge Launches Landmark 10th Edition

Registration is now officially open for the landmark 10th edition of the Egypt IoT & AI Challenge, the country’s leading pre-incubation program and competition for innovators, startups, and students. The challenge provides a unique opportunity for participants to develop their innovative ideas in the fields of the Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and related technologies.

As the local qualifier for the regional Arab IoT & AI Challenge, the program offers a structured pathway for winners to represent Egypt on a pan-Arab stage.


Challenge Overview

The Egypt IoT & AI Challenge is a comprehensive capacity-building and pre-incubation program designed to take innovative ideas from concept to prototype. The journey is structured in multiple phases, including:

  • Ideation Phase: Intensive training on business ideation and product development, followed by a pitching competition.
  • Technical Support: Selected teams receive mentorship, technical assistance, and access to fabrication labs to build their working prototypes and Minimum Viable Products (MVPs).
  • Local Demo Day: A national final where teams compete to be crowned the winners for Egypt in their respective tracks.
  • Regional Finals: The winners from Egypt will advance to compete against top innovators from across the Arab world.

Challenge Tracks

The challenge is open to innovators at various stages and is divided into three distinct tracks:

  • Startups Track: For early-stage companies seeking to refine their MVP, business model, and gain market traction.
  • Graduation Projects Track: For senior university students and teams looking to transform their academic projects into viable commercial ventures.
  • High Schools Track: For young, aspiring innovators at the high school level with creative ideas in technology.
