Talabat and Kuwait-based coding academy CODED have marked the graduation of more than 500 participants from the 2026 edition of Academy X, a program focused on helping young women build technology and entrepreneurship skills.
The program is designed for Kuwaiti women aged 14 to 25 and covers mobile and web app development, UI/UX design, leadership, personal development and entrepreneurship. Talabat has supported Academy X as its strategic sponsor for three consecutive years.
During the closing ceremony in Kuwait City, teams were recognised across several categories. Talabat’s award for the best food technology innovation went to “Saarati,” an AI-powered app developed by Fajr Maytham Kamal, Aryam Riyad Al Shammari, Fajr Al Sayed Mahdi Amin, Hawraa Al Anzi and Khadija Ali Al Mohammad.
The app allows users to track calories and key nutrients in Kuwaiti dishes and food products by uploading an image or recording a voice message. It also connects users with local nutritionists for personalised guidance, according to the announcement.
Across its three years, the program has attracted more than 1,600 participants, who developed over 600 projects in areas including health, food, education and digital finance. The 2026 curriculum also included training on Claude and the use of AI in marketing, business development and digital innovation.
