A high-level Egyptian delegation, led by H.E. Dr. Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, has concluded a strategic four-day mission to the United States to expand global partnerships in key technology sectors. Accompanied by Eng. Ahmed Elzaher, CEO of the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA), the mission aimed to reinforce Egypt’s position as a leading regional hub for ICT, electronics, and digital innovation.

Strategic Engagements with Industry Leaders

The delegation held a series of bilateral meetings in New York and California with top multinational companies across the technology landscape. Discussions focused on advancing cooperation in semiconductor design, AI adoption, and next-generation connectivity with industry giants such as NVIDIA, ARM, Synopsys Inc, Alphawave Semi, and Flex. Further talks explored the expansion of offshoring, customer experience, and data solutions with firms including Cisco, Vodafone, TTEC, and Incorta, capitalizing on Egypt’s robust multilingual talent pool.

The mission also engaged with Honeywell to discuss the expansion of its Global Engineering Service center in Egypt for smart city and advanced manufacturing solutions, and with Kraft Heinz to review offshoring investments focused on digital transformation and AI-driven marketing.

Showcasing Egypt’s Competitive Edge

Throughout the visit, the delegation highlighted Egypt’s significant competitive advantages, including its large and growing pool of specialized ICT engineers, advanced digital infrastructure, and strategic geographic location. Central to the discussions were Egypt’s national initiatives, such as the “Egypt Makes Electronics (EME)” strategy and the “Digital Egypt Strategy for Offshoring,” which provide strong incentives and a supportive framework for global investors. The mission also underscored Egypt’s commitment to digital capacity-building through partnerships with both corporations and academic institutions.

Reinforcing Global Tech Collaborations

A key part of the mission was participation in the Global Semiconductor Alliance (GSA) U.S. Executive Forum, the industry’s flagship event for shaping the future of semiconductors. These high-level engagements reflect Egypt’s determined vision to attract significant foreign investment, grow high-value tech industries, and accelerate its national digital transformation agenda. The visit successfully consolidated Egypt’s standing as a trusted global destination for ICT, semiconductors, AI, and offshoring.
