The Royal Academy of Management (RAM), in partnership with the Rising Omani Startups Programme, has officially launched the Startup Leadership Programme 2025. This flagship initiative is designed to empower the executive leaders of Omani startups, equipping them with the necessary skills to accelerate growth and expand into international markets.
A Comprehensive Programme For Tech Leaders
Running for six months from August 2025 to January 2026, the programme is currently hosting its inaugural cohort of 18 participants. The curriculum is specifically tailored for founders and executives of innovative, technology-driven startups. It is structured into four core modules: strategic leadership, financial planning, growth strategies, and talent management. The learning methodology combines academic principles with practical application through workshops, case studies, mentorship, applied projects, and international field visits.
Fostering A Global Mindset
The programme is a direct reflection of Royal Directives aimed at nurturing entrepreneurship and supporting SMEs in the Sultanate. Dr. Fathiya bint Abdullah al Rashdiyah, Vice-President for Programme Affairs at RAM, stated that the blend of expert-led sessions and global field visits will provide participants with crucial exposure to international best practices and investor networks.
Echoing this sentiment, Qais bin Rashid al Toobi, General Supervisor of the Rising Omani Startups Programme, highlighted the initiative’s role in strengthening Oman’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. “This initiative positions Omani startups as global success stories by equipping founders with advanced leadership skills for sustainable growth and international expansion in line with Oman Vision 2040,” he said. Participants are expected to complete the programme with enhanced leadership capabilities, refined growth strategies, and expanded international networks.
