The latest edition of the Egypt Proptech Challenge has concluded at the Cityscape exhibition, spotlighting a new wave of startups set to redefine the region’s real estate and construction sectors. The challenge, organized by Informa in partnership with Global 500, saw three companies—xBites, Voom, and Net Zero Build—emerge as the top innovators from a competitive pool of applicants from Egypt, the Gulf, and Africa.
Innovative Solutions Take Center Stage
The winning startups were selected for their pioneering solutions that integrate sustainability, smart city concepts, and digital transformation into the property sector. Their business models address the growing demand for technological advancements in real estate, showcasing practical applications of artificial intelligence and sustainable building practices. This focus on PropTech and ConTech (Construction Technology) highlights a critical shift towards enhancing operational efficiency, reducing costs, and improving customer experiences across the industry.
Fostering a Competitive Real Estate Market
The event underscored the increasing role of technology in reshaping Egypt’s real estate landscape. Robier Daniel, Exhibition Director for Cityscape Egypt, emphasized the significance of the challenge. “The success of the current edition of the Egypt PropTech Challenge reflects Egypt’s growing position as a regional hub for incubating innovative startups, especially in the fields of smart cities and digital sustainability,” he stated. Daniel added that this integration of technology enhances the Egyptian real estate market’s ability to compete globally across development, marketing, and management phases.

Beyond the competition, the selected startups will receive crucial support to scale their ventures. Ezzedin Zaza, Program Manager at Global 500, confirmed that participants will gain access to development programs and business acceleration opportunities from strategic partners, including WRK+ (The GrEEK Campus & MQR). This follow-on support provides startups with a broader ecosystem of resources, mentorship, and networks essential for long-term growth.
