Orange Jordan has concluded the fourth edition of its Orange Summer Challenge, an initiative designed to empower young entrepreneurs and students under the theme “Startup4Good.” Held at the Orange Digital Village, the program culminated in the showcasing of innovative projects aimed at addressing real-world community needs through technology.

Nurturing Talent Through Collaboration

Over a three-month period, participants underwent an intensive, hands-on program at the Orange Digital Center. The challenge provided access to expert mentorship and practical training, leveraging the center’s advanced resources, including its Innovation Hub, Digital Fabrication Lab, and Coding School. The initiative was supported by key ecosystem partners, including META, Amazon Web Services (AWS), The Hashgraph Association, and Dar Blockchain, creating a robust environment for turning ideas into impactful ventures.

Spotlight on Winning Innovations

Teams presented their projects to a jury panel that evaluated them on innovation, technical feasibility, social impact, and market applicability. The winning projects highlighted solutions in occupational safety, smart city infrastructure, and accessibility.

The first-place prize was awarded to Safeguard, a project developing smart public safety devices for workplaces. The technology offers live monitoring and comprehensive team reporting to significantly enhance occupational safety standards.

Coming in second was Massar, a smart robot designed to automate the process of marking street lines and parking spaces. The solution promises greater efficiency and accuracy at a lower cost compared to traditional methods.
Third place went to NOOR, a device that empowers visually impaired individuals to read, summarize, and take notes independently. The innovation aims to enhance educational and professional opportunities for its users.
