In a significant move to celebrate its frontline ambassadors, talabat, the leading on-demand online ordering platform in the MENA region, recently hosted its largest-ever Rider and Fleet Partner Appreciation night in Kuwait. The event, held at The Regency, brought together over 700 delivery riders, fleet partners, and talabat staff to recognize their crucial contributions to the company’s success.

The ceremony awarded riders and fleet partners across 19 categories with prizes valued at over USD 30,000, including gold, cash, travel tickets, and smartphones. Beyond the awards, the evening featured entertainment, competitions, and a talent show, reinforcing talabat’s commitment to its people-first corporate culture.

A New Benchmark for Partner Recognition

This mega-celebration builds on previous recognition events, setting a new standard for talabat’s “Partners in Success” philosophy. The initiative underscores the company’s integrated business model, which links its growth directly to the well-being and fulfillment of its entire ecosystem, from staff to delivery riders.

“The success that talabat has achieved to date is the sum of so many efforts that span our in-house employees’, delivery riders’, and logistics partners’, all of whom share the same dedication to excellence, punctuality, and above all, humanity,” said Ihssan Al-Farran, Director of Logistics – Operations at talabat Kuwait.

Abdullah Al-Mansour, Director of Communications, Public Affairs, and Corporate Responsibility at talabat Kuwait, added, “As a people-first and rider-centric company, it is very important that we ensure that everyone who plays a role in talabat’s ongoing success, no matter its size, knows they are valued for who they are… our delivery riders continue to be our most visible ambassadors.”

Celebrating Excellence Beyond Delivery

The 19 award categories highlighted achievements that extended far beyond operational metrics. While top performers, safety-conscious riders, and those with high customer ratings were celebrated, special recognition was given to “Community Heroes.” These awards honored riders who demonstrated exceptional humanity and civic duty, from helping the elderly and rescuing animals to curbing a fire and preventing further damage.

The categories for riders included Top Performer of the Year, Top Traffic Safety Riders, Top Compliant Riders, Loyalty and Tenure, and Community Heroes. Fleet partners were also recognized for long-term partnership, rider retention, operational excellence, and more.

Voices from the Road

The impact of the recognition was echoed by the recipients. Charles Ronald, who was honored for his heroic act of stopping a fire, shared, “Even though I arrived at the scene as a talabat delivery rider, I am also a human being who will always step in to help someone in need… I didn’t think twice about doing all that is in my capacity to stop the fire from spreading.”

Parvez Ahmed, awarded for his commitment to road safety, commented, “Fast delivery should never be at the cost of anyone’s safety, neither me nor the people around me. Commitment and punctuality ensure that we deliver on talabat’s promise for speed and safety together, but never one at the expense of the other.”

Gurdev Singh, recipient of the best performance award, stated, “I am honored to be recognized by talabat as a top performing rider. This accolade motivates me to maintain high standards of commitment, punctuality and safety in my work.”
