Competition Overview
The App Challenge aims to open the doors of innovation and creativity for students passionate about gaming and programming. Under the theme “Develop your game from your home,” the competition guides participants on a journey toward excellence, helping them acquire new digital skills. The ultimate goal is to enable student teams to turn their unique concepts into real, playable electronic games.
Eligibility Criteria
- Age Requirement: Participants must be between 14 and 16 years old.
- Team Structure: Teams must consist of exactly four students from the same school.
- Supervision: Each team must be led by a teacher or supervisor who specializes in Computer Science or demonstrates a strong interest and knowledge in modern technology.
Competition Stages
- Orientation: Teams participate in a remote orientation session by watching a recorded introductory video.
- Selection Exam: Following the video, teams take an exam to determine eligibility. One team will be selected from each governorate to proceed.
- Training Camp: Selected teams undergo a five-day intensive training program.
- Development Phase: Participants are given one and a half months to program, design, and develop their games.
- Evaluation: Final submissions are judged by a committee, followed by an awards ceremony for the winning school.
How to Apply
Interested teams should coordinate with their teacher/supervisor immediately to begin the registration process. Applicants must watch the full introductory video before attempting the qualifying exam. Please note that registration information cannot be modified once submitted.
