Egypt’s Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA), in partnership with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), is inviting Egyptian startups to apply to join the official delegation to SusHi Tech Tokyo 2026, one of Asia’s leading innovation platforms. This mission aims to showcase Egypt’s most innovative technology startups and unlock collaboration opportunities with Japanese corporates and investors.

Global Innovation Mission Overview
This mission is designed to build bridges between the Egyptian innovation ecosystem and Japanese industry leaders. Selected startups will join the official Egyptian delegation to SusHi Tech Tokyo 2026, where they will exhibit their solutions, participate in business meetings, attend networking events, and engage in ecosystem visits. The program’s goal is to facilitate strategic collaborations, enable investment opportunities, and support the global expansion of Egyptian startups into Asian markets.
Key Benefits
Up to ten selected startups will receive the following benefits for one representative per company:
- Funded Travel: Round-trip economy airfare between Cairo and Tokyo.
- Accommodation: Hotel costs covered for the duration of the official program.
- Daily Allowance: A per diem will be provided at JICA’s standard rates.
- High-Level Exposure: Opportunity to exhibit at SusHi Tech Tokyo as part of Egypt’s official delegation.
- Curated Meetings: Access to pre-arranged business meetings with leading Japanese corporations and investors.
- Networking: Invitations to exclusive networking events and ecosystem visits.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements to qualify:
- Must be a legally registered Egyptian startup, preferably at Series A or above with an established product-market fit.
- Must demonstrate strong traction through revenue, paying customers, active pilots, or significant user growth.
- Founders or CXO-level leaders must be able to communicate effectively in English.
- The startup must operate in a sector aligned with Japanese corporate interest, including:
