Dubai Chambers has successfully concluded a strategic trade mission to Belgrade, Serbia, aimed at deepening economic cooperation and unlocking new partnership opportunities across high-growth sectors. The mission, part of the ‘Growth Corridors’ initiative, underscores Dubai’s commitment to strengthening its global trade network and fostering collaboration with promising international markets.
The delegation was led by H.E. Eng. Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori, Chairman of Dubai Chambers, and attended by H.E. Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers.
H.E. Eng. Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori commented on the initiative, stating, “The growing cooperation between Dubai and Serbia reflects our shared commitment to opening new horizons for trade and investment. This visit offers an important opportunity to deepen dialogue between our business communities and explore strategic partnerships that advance shared economic objectives, create high-value opportunities, and support growth in vital sectors.”
Strengthening Bilateral Trade Through CEPA
Building on the foundation of the UAE–Serbia Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), the delegation engaged in high-level discussions with Serbian officials, including H.E. Jagoda Lazarević, Minister of Domestic and Foreign Trade. The talks focused on enhancing trade and investment flows in key areas such as food and agriculture, tourism, renewable energy, and logistics.
The economic partnership has already yielded significant results, with non-oil trade between Dubai and Serbia reaching AED 335.8 million in 2024, marking a remarkable 43.5% year-on-year growth. This highlights the increasing commercial synergy between the two economies.
A Growing Hub for Serbian Businesses
Dubai’s appeal as a global business hub for Serbian companies continues to grow. By the end of December 2025, the number of active Serbian companies registered with the Dubai Chamber of Commerce reached 308, reflecting a significant 36.9% annual growth.
The mission emphasized Dubai’s strategic advantages for Serbian e-commerce companies looking to expand regionally, leveraging the emirate’s world-class logistics infrastructure and its role as a central hub for warehousing and distribution.
Unlocking Tech and Innovation Synergies
A key focus of the mission was to explore collaboration in the technology and innovation sectors. Dubai Chambers organised a series of roundtables with key Serbian tech ecosystem players, including the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia (CCIS), the Science and Technology Park Belgrade (STP Belgrade), and Serbia’s Innovation Fund.
Discussions highlighted opportunities in healthtech, gaming, biotechnology, and blockchain. The Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy showcased its dedicated support for Serbian tech companies aiming to establish a presence in Dubai and tap into the emirate’s advanced digital ecosystem and its strategic initiatives in artificial intelligence.
