Egypt’s Ministry of Youth and Sports has signed a strategic cooperation protocol with F&B Pillars, a firm specializing in the franchise industry, to bolster the nation’s entrepreneurship and commercial franchise sectors. The partnership was announced under the patronage of Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, and centers on the upcoming Egypt Expo 2026, an international exhibition scheduled for the third quarter of this year.
A Strategic Alliance for Economic Growth
The agreement, signed by Mustafa Abdel Hamid for the Ministry and Ahmed El-Saadany for F&B Pillars, aligns with Egypt’s Vision 2030 and directives to support promising economic sectors. It aims to unify efforts to promote a culture of entrepreneurship and franchising among young people, encouraging them to establish successful small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
This initiative seeks to leverage the franchise model to increase the success rates of new projects by providing technical support, training, and operational expertise, thereby mitigating the risks commonly associated with traditional business models. The collaboration is designed to create sustainable job opportunities, boost Egyptian exports, and enhance the national economy’s competitiveness.
Egypt Expo 2026 A Gateway for Brands
Under the protocol, Egypt Expo 2026 will be organized as the largest event of its kind in the country. The expo is designed to open new markets for Egyptian brands across the Arab and African regions while also attracting international brands to Egypt. This is expected to create significant investment partnerships and stimulate broad economic activity.
The event will feature a specialized scientific conference, numerous seminars, and practical workshops. It will also showcase local and international success stories and provide dedicated B2B matchmaking spaces to facilitate commercial agreements and partnerships.
Fostering a Culture of Entrepreneurship
In his remarks, Dr. Ashraf Sobhi emphasized the Ministry’s commitment to the economic empowerment of youth, stating that supporting entrepreneurship is a key pillar for national development and creating genuine employment opportunities.
“This collaboration with F&B Pillars reflects the ministry’s strategy to connect youth with the labor market and utilize youth centers and clubs as incubators for entrepreneurship, ensuring that economic initiatives reach all governorates of the Republic,” Dr. Sobhi stated.
Ahmed El-Saadany, Chairman of F&B Pillars, expressed his pride in the partnership, highlighting the Egyptian market as one of the most promising in the region. He noted that the initiative aims to qualify young entrepreneurs and Egyptian brands for local and international expansion through the franchise system.
