Cloudera Expands AI and Data Analytics Capabilities to On-Premises Environments

4 Min Read

Cloudera, a data and AI platform company, has announced a significant expansion of its services, bringing its Cloudera AI Inference and Cloudera Data Warehouse with Trino capabilities to on-premises environments. This move empowers enterprises to deploy and scale advanced AI and analytics directly within the security and control of their own data centers.

Bringing AI Inference On-Premises

A key part of the announcement is the on-premises availability of Cloudera AI Inference. Powered by NVIDIA technology, this solution enables organizations to deploy any AI model—from Large Language Models (LLMs) to fraud detection and computer vision—directly within their own infrastructure.

The platform is accelerated by the NVIDIA AI stack, including Blackwell GPUs and NIM microservices, ensuring high-performance model serving. This approach offers predictable economics by avoiding volatile cloud costs and gives enterprises full control over latency, compliance, and data privacy, which is crucial as AI applications move into full-scale production.

Unified Data Access and Analytics

Cloudera Data Warehouse with Trino is also now available for data center environments. This allows organizations to establish centralized security, governance, and observability across their entire data estate. By integrating AI-powered analytics and visualization, enterprises can derive actionable insights from complex data without compromising security or operational control.

The enhancements to Cloudera Data Visualization further streamline AI-driven workflows. New features include AI-powered annotation for instant chart summaries, improved traceability with AI query logging, and simplified admin management to enhance security and efficiency.

Relevance for MENA Enterprises

For the MENA region, this on-premises expansion is particularly timely. With a strong focus on data sovereignty and stringent regulatory requirements in sectors like finance, government, and energy, the ability to run AI and analytics within a private data center is critical.

Enterprises in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and across the region can leverage Cloudera’s new capabilities to accelerate their AI initiatives while ensuring full compliance with local data residency laws. This allows them to harness the power of AI without transferring sensitive information outside of protected environments, minimizing security risks and streamlining operations.

Executive Commentary

“These advancements provide our customers with a superior level of control and flexibility,” said Leo Brunnick, Chief Product Officer at Cloudera. “With Cloudera AI Inference, Cloudera Data Warehouse with Trino, and Cloudera Data Visualization all accessible in the data center, organizations can securely deploy AI and analytics exactly where their most critical data resides.”

Pat Lee, vice president of strategic enterprise partnerships at NVIDIA, added, “Our collaboration with Cloudera enables customers to deploy and scale AI inference using NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs, Dynamo-Triton and NIM microservices, delivering control, predictable economics, and data-center efficiency.”
