Since its introduction in January 2026, the solution has already been adopted by over 12,000 local merchants, highlighting a significant demand for accessible fintech tools.

For many small businesses in Morocco, including neighborhood grocery stores, cafes, and independent vendors, the high cost of traditional card payment terminals has long been a significant barrier to accepting digital payments. Cash Plus’s QR code system directly addresses this challenge by eliminating the need for any specialized hardware.
The new system allows merchants to begin accepting digital payments with nothing more than a smartphone, removing the initial investment cost and democratizing access to the digital economy.
Seamless Integration for Merchants and Customers
The payment process is designed for simplicity and speed. Merchants use the Cash Plus Mobile app to generate a unique QR code for transactions, which customers can then scan with their own smartphones to complete the payment instantly.
This straightforward mechanism ensures a frictionless experience for both parties, fostering wider adoption among businesses that form the backbone of local commerce across Morocco’s cities and rural areas.
Leveraging an Established National Network
To drive the rollout, Cash Plus is utilizing its extensive existing infrastructure, which includes a network of over 5,200 agencies and a user base of approximately two million payment account holders throughout the country.
By building on this foundation, the company aims to rapidly expand the service’s reach and continue its mission to enhance financial inclusion, bringing more of Morocco’s vital SME sector into the formal digital payment ecosystem.
