Strengthening the UAE’s Digital Learning Infrastructure
The newly announced access allows UAE-based educational institutions to quickly provision free licenses through a dedicated portal. By integrating WeVideo into their operations, schools and universities can maintain academic continuity and operational agility, ensuring they are fully prepared if remote learning environments are mandated.
“To ensure that students’ academic progress continues without disruption, educators need tools that allow them to adapt quickly to remote learning environments,” said Tarek Jundi, Chief Executive Officer of Ankabut.
“We understand that transitioning to remote learning requires not just functional, but engaging methods. That’s why we are working towards meeting the educational and technological needs of the moment. We are pleased to extend our support to the educational institutions in the UAE through Ankabut’s robust national infrastructure and delivery,” Jundi added.
Interactive Video Tools for Remote Education
The partnership moves digital instruction beyond passive video consumption. Using WeVideo, educators can design interactive assignments, deploy video assessments, and record daily briefings using a library of ready-to-use project templates. The platform provides a unified workflow for teachers to record, edit, and assign content within a single environment.
Kevin Knight, Chief Executive Officer of WeVideo, emphasized the importance of high-engagement digital tools. “Ankabut plays a vital role in enabling innovation across the UAE’s education community, and we are proud to collaborate in making powerful video learning tools accessible to educators nationwide,” he noted.
“With WeVideo, teachers can move beyond passive video instruction and create interactive learning experiences that keep students engaged and participating wherever learning takes place,” Knight explained.
For students, the platform supports asynchronous learning on any device, allowing them to progress at their own pace. They can also create and submit video projects in an ad-free environment to demonstrate their subject comprehension.
Operating entirely in the cloud, WeVideo eliminates the need for local network downloads. The system aligns with strict international data privacy and security frameworks, maintaining full COPPA and FERPA compliance for institutional deployments.
