In a strategic move to establish the UAE as a core destination for life sciences, Dubai Health and the Dubai Future District Fund (DFDF) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to build a comprehensive HealthTech and TechBio ecosystem. The collaboration aims to accelerate high-impact ventures while directly supporting the emirate’s D33 Economic Agenda.

Scaling the UAE Healthtech Ecosystem and AI Diagnostics
The joint initiative targets the rapid commercialization and development of technologies across biotechnology, digital health, AI diagnostics, drug discovery, robotics, medical devices, and personalized medicine. By coordinating resources across both public and private sectors, the partnership intends to generate strong clinical and commercial evidence for new healthcare solutions.
This collaboration specifically leverages academic research and translational opportunities to align new technologies with immediate healthcare needs. A core objective is supporting knowledge transfer and intellectual property development, providing founders and researchers the infrastructure required to scale complex health products.
Driving Regional TechBio Investment and Startup Growth
Nader Albastaki, Managing Director at Dubai Future District Fund, emphasized the emirate’s unique positioning to act as a launchpad for healthcare innovation.
“By partnering with Dubai Health, we are laying the groundwork for a sustainable, innovation-driven health economy,” Albastaki noted. “One that not only meets the needs of the region but also shapes the future of healthcare globally.”
Atif Al Braiki, Chief Digital and AI Officer at Dubai Health, highlighted the operational goals of the agreement.
“This collaboration marks an important step in strengthening healthcare innovation in Dubai,” Al Braiki said. “Our goal is to create an environment where emerging technologies and startups can scale and grow. Together with DFDF, we are committed to advancing health for humanity and further positioning Dubai as a global hub for HealthTech innovation.”
