Qatar Foundation (QF) has announced a new partnership with human performance company WHOOP, aiming to integrate education, research, and technology to develop Qatar’s health and fitness tech sector. The collaboration is set to provide QF students and graduates with new career opportunities and hands-on experience in the growing wellness industry.

Bridging Education And Industry
At the core of the agreement is a plan to create direct pipelines for Qatar Foundation students and alumni into the health-tech industry. The partnership will offer hands-on experience with wearable technology and its real-world applications, equipping participants with skills relevant to the evolving sports science and wellness markets.
“This partnership with WHOOP marks an important step in our commitment to empowering students and alumni with opportunities beyond the classroom,” said Alanoud Darwish, Executive Director of Partnerships and Strategic Alignment at QF. “By combining our multidisciplinary ecosystem with the innovative technology and expertise of WHOOP, we are opening new avenues for learning, research, and real-world impact.”
Beyond talent development, the two organizations will explore collaborative research projects focusing on sports science, wellness, and precision health.

The collaboration, signed by QF CEO Yousif Al-Naama and WHOOP Founder and CEO Will Ahmed, will also feature community programs and events across Education City. The goal is to encourage wider adoption of active and healthier lifestyles, leveraging WHOOP’s data-driven insights.
