The UAE Entrepreneurs Association has re-elected Sanad Al-Meqbali as Chairman of its Board of Directors for the 2026–2030 term, signaling a vote of confidence in his leadership and a commitment to continuity in supporting the nation’s startup ecosystem. The decision was made during the association’s first virtual General Assembly meeting for the upcoming term.

A Mandate for Strategic Continuity

The election was held virtually with all core members present, fulfilling the legal quorum. The process was also attended by representatives from Abu Dhabi’s Department of Community Development and the Ministry of Community Enablement, underscoring the association’s key role in the public-private ecosystem framework.

Alongside Al-Meqbali’s re-election, a competitive vote involving 25 candidates resulted in the election of 11 members to fill the new Board of Directors, bringing a mix of perspectives to the association’s governance.

New Board, Renewed Focus

The newly formed board affirmed its commitment to advancing the UAE’s position as a competitive hub for entrepreneurship. In a statement, members confirmed that the next phase will focus on continuing the development of strategic initiatives and projects designed to directly serve the startup community.

The meeting also addressed key governance items, including the approval of minutes from the previous assembly held on December 23, 2025. Additionally, the association’s annual report and the independent auditor’s report and financial statements for the year ending December 31, 2025, were formally adopted.
