Kuwait Finance House (KFH) reported more than 200 community initiatives in its 2025 sustainability report, spanning education, healthcare, environmental protection, youth empowerment, entrepreneurship, innovation and sports.
Yusuf Al-Rouieh, the group’s head of public relations and media, said the bank’s recognition as the world’s best Islamic bank for social responsibility in 2025 by Global Finance reflected its long-term focus on sustainable community work.
Environmental efforts included the “Keep it Green” campaign, beach and island cleanups, tree-planting activities and educational programmes. In partnership with Green Vision, KFH planted more than 12,000 trees across 25 local plant species. Community walking initiatives also attracted more than 10,000 participants, with proceeds directed to afforestation projects.
The bank said its youth programmes have supported technology and skills development. Its partnership with Coded benefited more than 1,700 children through around 50 Coded Juniors programmes, while KFH Academy offers training in public relations and media, digital transformation and business administration.
KFH also continued supporting Kuwait’s innovation ecosystem through its participation in the 2025 NEXUS technology exhibition and a Digital Sustainability Award for participants in the Kuwait Codes initiative.
Its wider contributions included more than KWD 61 million toward settling debts of indebted individuals, KWD 20 million for 15 ambulance centres and $20 million to the Kuwait Red Crescent Society for earthquake relief efforts in Türkiye and Syria, according to the announcement.
