More than 450 women from 12 Arab and African countries are attending the inaugural Arab Women’s Forum for Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Cairo, held alongside the fifth Arab Innovation and Investment Forum, Innovest Arab Forum 2026, organizers said.
The event brings together women entrepreneurs and professionals with government officials, policymakers, industry leaders, financiers and entrepreneurship experts. Discussions are focused on women’s economic empowerment and their role in sustainable economic growth across the Arab world.
Participants include representatives from Egypt, Libya, Jordan and Oman, among other countries. Organizers said they hope to expand participation to 21 countries in future editions.
The forum also marks the launch of the Innovest Competition, which will identify and support innovative businesses led by women and young entrepreneurs across the Arab and African regions. The competition will start in Cairo before expanding to participating countries, with activities continuing through September. Finalists will move to a selection stage, while the winners will be announced during the forum’s closing session in December.
According to the organizers, winners will receive financial awards and training to help turn promising ideas into sustainable ventures.
