Egypt’s Academy of Scientific Research and Technology has opened applications for the 2026/2027 cycle of its “Mshroey Bedayaty” program, which supports final-year university students in turning graduation projects into applicable ventures and potential startups.
The program offers two tracks: individual projects submitted by final-year students, and collaborative projects developed by universities and research bodies through academic and research alliances.
Eligible projects must be linked to graduation work, have practical potential and be approved by an academic supervisor. Priority areas include artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, deep tech, quantum computing, space sciences, autonomous vehicles, medical devices, agricultural and medical biotechnology, nanotechnology, green technology, energy efficiency and Industry 4.0.
According to the announcement, the program aims to connect university research with industry and market needs while supporting technology solutions related to sustainable development. The academy said previous cycles helped turn student ideas into prototypes and promising projects.
Applications for the collaborative projects track close on September 30, 2026. The deadline for individual projects is October 31, 2026. The program is open to final-year students at Egyptian public and private universities and institutes.
