Saudi health technology startup Amplifai Health has received an investment from Japanese company ASICS Ventures, highlighting growing international interest in the Kingdom’s technology and artificial intelligence startups.
The investment makes ASICS Ventures part of Amplifai Health’s shareholder base. The company said the deal reflects confidence in the ability of Saudi technology solutions to compete in international markets, although it did not disclose the investment value or other financial terms.
Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology welcomed the announcement, describing it as a sign of momentum in the country’s technology and AI ecosystem. According to the ministry, foreign investment can help national startups strengthen their competitiveness and expand into new markets.
The deal could also create opportunities for broader Saudi-Japanese cooperation in innovation, health technology and AI, including knowledge exchange and access to ASICS Ventures’ international networks, according to the announcement.
Amplifai Health’s funding comes as Saudi Arabia’s AI sector continues to attract government and private investment. For the startup, the investment may support product development and expansion beyond the local market, though the company did not provide specific details on how the capital will be used.
