Jordan’s Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship Sami Smirat has opened the North Platform technology center in Irbid to provide digital training, coworking space and entrepreneurship support for young people in the country’s northern governorates.
Opened on August 6, 2026, the center is part of the Youth, Technology and Jobs project. It aims to connect young people’s skills with labor market needs while providing facilities for learning, innovation and collaborative work.
The platform includes training rooms, coworking areas and technical equipment. According to the announcement, its programs will also create opportunities for networking among young people, trainers, entrepreneurs, private-sector companies and academic institutions.
The center is operated by Injaz, which plans to deliver specialized training programs and events focused on digital skills, employment and entrepreneurship, according to its chief executive, Dima Al-Bibi.
Located in Irbid’s central transport complex, the platform is designed to serve young people across Jordan’s northern governorates. Smirat said its impact would be measured through the skills participants gain, as well as the jobs and startups they develop.
