Forbes Middle East Names Top 100 CEOs of 2026

Forbes Middle East has published its sixth annual Top 100 CEOs list, highlighting 102 executives across 100 entries who lead companies headquartered in the MENA region.

The ranking spans 21 nationalities, 29 sectors and eight countries. The UAE accounts for 49 CEOs, followed by Saudi Arabia with 18 and Qatar with 11. Emiratis make up the largest nationality group with 31 executives, ahead of Egyptians at 15 and Saudis at 13.

Banking and financial services is the largest sector represented, with 30 entries, while real estate and construction accounts for eight.

Amin H. Nasser of Saudi Aramco tops the ranking, followed by Sultan Al Jaber of ADNOC Group and Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum of Emirates Airline & Group. Other leaders in the top 10 include Nawaf Saud Al-Sabah of Kuwait Petroleum Corporation, Syed Basar Shueb of International Holding Company and Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi of QatarEnergy.

Sheikh Mohammed Bin Hamad Bin Faisal Al-Thani, CEO of Qatar Free Zones Authority, ranks 81st. The list highlights his role in QFZ’s growth, global investor outreach and efforts to strengthen Qatar’s position as a business and innovation hub, according to the announcement.

Forbes said its methodology considered each CEO’s regional impact, experience, company size, recent performance and implemented innovations. The ranking was based on questionnaires, market disclosures, industry reports, annual reports, financial statements and other primary sources.
