ENOC Opens First Checkout-Free ZOOM Store With Amazon Technology

ENOC Group has opened its first ZOOM convenience store using Amazon’s Just Walk Out technology, bringing checkout-free shopping to its retail network in the MENA region.

Located at ENOC service station Site 1019 opposite City Walk, the store uses artificial intelligence and computer vision to track products as customers take them from or return them to shelves. Shoppers tap a payment card or mobile wallet when leaving, with payment processed automatically without a conventional checkout.

The launch is the first deployment of Amazon’s technology across ENOC’s ZOOM network. It is part of the group’s strategy to modernise its convenience retail operations and develop service stations into destinations combining mobility services with technology-enabled shopping.

ENOC and Amazon UAE announced their broader collaboration in October 2025. The partnership includes exploring ENOC sites as quick-fulfilment hubs and making the group’s retail products available through Amazon.ae.

According to ENOC, the collaboration is designed to improve convenience and respond to changing customer expectations around speed and flexibility. Amazon’s Just Walk Out technology is also being introduced to ZOOM stores as part of that effort.
