Humat Al Ard, in partnership with Egypt’s Ministry of Youth and Sports, held the second edition of its Youth Forum under the theme “Youth Economic Empowerment: From Idea to Project.” The event brought together young people, graduates, entrepreneurship experts and representatives of national and international organisations.

The forum focused on practical steps involved in launching a business, including selecting and assessing an idea, identifying available funding and support, and understanding the challenges and common mistakes faced by early-stage entrepreneurs. Egyptian founders also shared experiences from turning ideas into operating businesses.

The United Nations Development Programme, World Food Programme and Food and Agriculture Organization participated alongside ministry representatives, giving attendees exposure to international expertise and regional and global support pathways for startups.

The forum is part of Humat Al Ard’s Earth Guardians Volunteer Programme, known as EGVP. The programme combines training through the organisation’s academy with field volunteering, follow-up and evaluation. According to the organisation, the initiative aims to strengthen young people’s skills and prepare them to contribute to sustainable development.

The second forum is included in Humat Al Ard’s 2026 field plan and supports areas linked to quality education, decent work, economic growth, innovation and entrepreneurship.
