Syria’s Tajir.Store has organised the E-commerce Forum in Syria 2026, bringing together government representatives, technology and financial companies, logistics providers, online sellers and traditional businesses to discuss the development of the country’s digital commerce sector.
According to the organiser’s announcement, the forum presented initial data on Syria’s e-commerce market and launched a field study measuring the digital readiness of companies and merchants in Damascus. The study, conducted with the Damascus Chamber of Commerce, covers more than 550 merchants and companies.
The event also introduced an initiative aimed at helping 500 Syrian merchants enter e-commerce and access related tools and services. The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology sponsored the forum, while the finance minister and representatives from the Ministry of Economy, the Central Bank of Syria and other relevant bodies took part.
Tajir.Store said the forum was designed as a starting point for longer-term activities focused on digital commerce awareness, merchant enablement and ecosystem development. The company added that the event showed growing interest in e-commerce among Syrian businesses, while acknowledging that the market is still developing.
