HONOR says its growth in the Gulf is being driven by a shift away from specification-led competition toward technology designed around everyday user needs.
The company said consumers in the Middle East increasingly want devices that reduce daily friction, protect privacy and support how they live and create, rather than simply offering higher speeds or larger camera specifications.
HONOR’s strategy includes building a broader AIoT ecosystem spanning smartphones, wearables, tablets and laptops. It also highlights cross-platform compatibility, including integration with iOS and Mac devices, to avoid forcing users into a single-brand setup.
In mobile imaging, HONOR said its AiMAGE chip-device-cloud engine combines optics with AI processing. Its cooperation with cinema technology company ARRI has introduced professional workflows, including ARRI LogC3, Wide Gamut 3 and ARRI Looks, to mobile creation.
The company also pointed to the HONOR Robot Phone, which includes a self-developed titanium alloy three-axis gimbal, as an example of its work on new device formats.
HONOR described the GCC, including the UAE, Qatar, Oman and Bahrain, as a key market for foldables and AI-enabled devices. It said regional growth is supported by retail expansion, enterprise solutions and university technology initiatives aimed at local users.
