Arab Bank and Palestine’s Ministry of Labour have signed a cooperation agreement to launch a program supporting and developing youth-led startups in Palestine.
The initiative will provide advanced training, specialised mentorship and an intensive bootcamp in Jordan. It aims to prepare 10 promising ventures to become viable, scalable businesses with sustainable economic impact, according to the announcement.
Designed and delivered by Arab Bank’s innovation and fintech accelerator, AB Xelerate, in partnership with the ministry, the program will cover business planning, financial management, marketing, innovation, risk management and pitching to investors. Participants will also receive one-on-one guidance from industry experts and have opportunities to connect with investors and expand their professional networks during the Jordan bootcamp.
At the end of the program, an expert committee will assess the startups based on innovation, economic viability, growth potential and economic and social impact. The selected winners will receive further support and development to strengthen their market position and ability to grow.
The initiative is part of Arab Bank’s “Together” corporate social responsibility program and aligns with the ministry’s focus on self-employment, entrepreneurship, skills development and private-sector partnerships to create sustainable jobs.
