Beni Suef has launched the fourth phase of a training programme focused on entrepreneurship and financial inclusion, targeting 5,000 students and education-sector employees across the Egyptian governorate.
The latest phase will bring the programme’s total target to more than 22,000 trainees, according to the announcement. The initiative is being implemented in coordination with Egypt’s Ministry of Local Development, the Directorate of Education, Banque Misr, Sanad El Kheir Foundation for Development, and local universities.
Training activities will take place across the centres of El Wasta, Beni Suef, Nasser, Biba and El Fashn. The programme aims to promote self-employment and help young people develop the skills needed to launch small and medium-sized businesses.
Organisers are also preparing a broader conference to connect the programme’s outcomes with labour-market needs and strengthen students’ competitive skills.
As part of the initiative, Banque Misr will provide trainees with free services, including bank accounts without minimum balance requirements or fees, Meeza cards and electronic wallets to support their financial transactions.
