The Saudi Banks Media and Banking Awareness Committee and the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises, Monsha’at, are expanding financial awareness initiatives for entrepreneurs and owners of small, medium and micro enterprises.

The collaboration, carried out alongside World Entrepreneurship Day under the fifth season of the Waei program, included a two-day workshop for employees of Saudi banks. Monsha’at introduced its main services and initiatives to help bank staff guide entrepreneurs toward support that matches their needs.

The partners also held a discussion session titled “How Commercial and Development Banks Support Entrepreneurship,” with participation from Riyad Bank and experts from financing, development and support organisations. The session examined the role of finance in enabling startups, as well as the services available to entrepreneurs.

According to the announcement, the committee is developing further programmes, lectures and workshops focused on financial and banking knowledge. These initiatives aim to help business owners improve planning, manage resources and risks, and make stronger financial decisions throughout their companies’ development.

The committee said it would continue working with stakeholders across Saudi Arabia’s entrepreneurship ecosystem to strengthen coordination between the banking sector and SMEs, supporting business sustainability and the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
