Doha’s Al Riyada Girls Center has supported seven promising Qatari projects through its initiative to back local entrepreneurship, as part of its 2026 summer season.

The center, affiliated with Qatar’s Ministry of Sports and Youth, attracted 182 new members during the summer, while more than 300 beneficiaries took part in its workshops and activities. The season included more than 30 programs covering technology, sports, arts, crafts, leadership and personal development.

The entrepreneurship support was part of a wider program delivered in partnership with 17 national institutions and external organisations. Activities included workshops on using artificial intelligence for creativity and building a digital identity, alongside swimming, diving, pilates, archery and strength training programs.

The center also hosted cultural and creative sessions, including pottery and acrylic painting, as well as awareness workshops addressing bullying, self-confidence and personal value.

Najla Al Hajri, head of Al Riyada Girls Center, said the summer program aimed to develop girls’ life and professional skills in a safe and supportive environment. She added that the center would continue investing in girls’ capabilities and encouraging their contribution to society.
