Jordanian startup Miqsam has built an AI-powered communications and customer service platform designed to understand Arabic and its regional dialects. Founded in Amman by entrepreneurs Fouad Jreis and Sinan Tayfour, the company now serves more than 2,000 clients and has processed hundreds of millions of calls, according to the company.

Miqsam began as a cloud communications service connecting hundreds of cities through local numbers. It has since expanded into a cloud contact centre platform with voice AI agents, WhatsApp and other digital channels, interactive voice response systems, CRM integrations and automated call analysis.

Co-founder Jreis said the platform can summarise calls, assess customer sentiment and measure quality while handling local Arabic dialects without relying on machine translation. The company operates in more than 15 countries across the Middle East and North Africa, with offices in Jordan, Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Egypt, and a team of more than 150 people.

Miqsam said it processed more than 100 million calls in 2025. Its growth has been supported by customer revenue and backing from investors in Jordan, Saudi Arabia, the UAE and the US. The Jordanian Entrepreneurship Fund, a $98M fund backed by the Central Bank of Jordan and the World Bank, supported the company indirectly through Jordan-based Propeller.

The founders said Miqsam’s next phase will focus on regional expansion, Arabic-first AI development and disciplined, sustainable growth.
