Umbrella500 has opened applications for its 2026 Impact Awards, which recognise startups, community initiatives and content creators delivering environmental or social impact across the wider MENA region.

The awards are open to applicants from idea stage through growth stage, and entries can be submitted in Arabic, English or French. Each account may apply for one award.

The three categories are the Impact Startup Award, Green Community Initiative Award and Green Content Creator Award. The startup category is open to operating ventures and early ideas, while the community category targets individuals, groups and local organisations. The content category is open to anyone submitting a short video on a green topic.

Applications close on 10 September 2026. Ten finalists will be shortlisted for each award in early October and will pitch online to a judging panel before a public vote. Winners are expected to be announced in late October.

Prizes include $5,000 for the Impact Startup Award, $3,000 for the Green Community Initiative Award and $350 for each of two content creator winners. Winners in the top two categories will also receive expert support credits from Umbrella500. Applicants receive a verified profile on the SPARK Innovation Hub, while finalists and winners will be featured through Umbrella500 and partner channels.
