Iraq has begun preparations to host the Arab Entrepreneurship Summit, with Trade Minister Mustafa Nizar Al-Ani chairing a meeting of the event’s preparatory committee in Baghdad.

The meeting brought together committee members and representatives of relevant institutions to review the summit’s main themes, organisational plans, and proposed programmes and activities. According to the announcement, the event is intended to support entrepreneurs and young people, encourage innovation, and contribute to private-sector development.

Al-Ani said hosting the summit would give Arab countries an opportunity to deepen cooperation in entrepreneurship, exchange experience, and create new opportunities for startups and young entrepreneurs. He directed the committee to advance the event’s organisational, technical and logistical preparations while strengthening coordination among the participating entities.

The committee will continue work on the arrangements needed to deliver the summit and define its expected outcomes.
