Capital University’s Faculty of Art Education has launched a credit-hour program in Creative Crafts and Industries for the 2026/27 academic year, combining practical art education with technology, entrepreneurship and marketing skills.
The program covers six areas: textiles, printing, woodwork, metalwork, artistic crafts and ceramics. It is designed to help students develop products that preserve traditional craft values while adapting them for contemporary markets.
Alongside technical training, students will learn about product development, market needs, branding, marketing and how to launch creative businesses. The curriculum also includes field training and visits to museums, workshops and factories to provide exposure to production environments and materials.
According to the announcement, graduates can pursue careers as craft professionals or trainers, launch their own businesses and brands, work as consultants in craft-related organisations, or continue into postgraduate study.
Applications are open to secondary school graduates, technical diploma holders and students from applied technology schools. Students from across Arab countries are also eligible to apply. The university said interested applicants should contact the Faculty of Art Education’s student affairs office for admission and registration details.
