Egypt’s General Authority for Investment and Free Zones has signed a cooperation protocol with Port Said University to promote investment, entrepreneurship and practical training for students and graduates.
The agreement was signed by Port Said University President Sherif Saleh and Mohamed Awad, CEO of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones, in the presence of Investment and Foreign Trade Minister Mohamed Farid.
According to the announcement, the partnership will include training programs, workshops, seminars and joint events focused on investment and entrepreneurship. It will also introduce students and graduates to company formation procedures, government services and available investment incentives.
The initiative aims to connect university education with labour market needs while helping participants build practical skills. It will also support students, faculty members and founders of innovative projects in developing their ideas and accessing opportunities in the Egyptian market.
Farid said cooperation between the authority and universities can improve awareness of investment opportunities and make it easier for young people to understand how to establish companies and operate businesses. The ministry said supporting entrepreneurship and encouraging young people to launch projects forms part of its efforts to improve the investment environment, simplify procedures and increase private-sector participation.
