Kuwaiti education technology startup Dawraty has raised $2 million in a seed round to expand its medical education and professional training solutions. Qatar Development Bank (QDB) participated in the round, which values the company at a cap of $10 million, according to the announcement.
Founded in 2023, Dawraty has expanded from Kuwait into Bahrain, Jordan and Qatar, and currently operates commercially in three Digital Cooperation Organisation member states. The platform serves more than 15,000 active learners and reported 207% year-on-year revenue growth.
The company said it is profitable at the seed stage, with a reported LTV-to-CAC ratio of 47x and cohort retention of 76.8%. It is also developing a B2B revenue channel through partnerships with educational and professional institutions.
Its partnerships include Kuwait University’s College of Medicine, the University of Bahrain and Johns Hopkins for continuing medical education. In August, Dawraty signed a partnership and reseller agreement with Qatar Finance and Business Academy, marking its first institutional revenue contract in Qatar.
QDB’s investment highlights growing cross-border institutional funding for early-stage Gulf startups, with Dawraty combining regional expansion, profitability and institutional revenues.
