Meta Wearables Studio UAE has opened applications for a hands-on program focused on building AI experiences for wearable devices.
Delivered by Meta in partnership with the UAE Cyber Security Council and Startupbootcamp, the program is open to UAE-based startups, developers, technical students and product teams. Applications opened on September 17 and close on October 17, 2026.
Participants will move from ideation and technical workshops to mentorship, prototyping and a hackathon build sprint. The program will cover wearable UX, Meta’s developer toolkit, AI prototyping, cybersecurity, privacy and product development.
Teams will develop use cases across tourism and cultural heritage, healthcare, education, Arabic AI companions and smart retail. They will also have the opportunity to pitch and showcase their work at GITEX from December 7 to 11.
The top three teams will share a $10,000 prize pool, with awards of $5,000, $3,000 and $2,000. Selected teams may also showcase their solutions at the Meta AI Summit in Istanbul on November 24–25.
