Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ) has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Sino International Entrepreneurs Federation (SIEF) in Beijing to support Chinese companies exploring investment and expansion opportunities in the emirate.
The agreement was signed during a week-long RAKEZ business roadshow in Beijing and Hangzhou, led by Group CEO Ramy Jallad. The programme brought together business, government and institutional stakeholders to develop investment links and encourage more Chinese companies to consider Ras Al Khaimah for international growth.
Under the MoU, RAKEZ and SIEF will facilitate the exchange of investment opportunities, connect Chinese enterprises with the emirate and support companies assessing overseas expansion strategies, according to the announcement.
The Beijing signing was accompanied by a joint investment seminar with Chinese business leaders. In Hangzhou, RAKEZ held an investment seminar with companies from Zhejiang Province, with discussions covering manufacturing, trade, distribution and technology.
RAKEZ also met the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Commerce to discuss deeper cooperation, including joint business missions, sector-focused delegations and opportunities for Zhejiang companies to establish manufacturing, distribution and regional operations in Ras Al Khaimah.
