The UAE and Lebanon have launched an initiative aimed at giving one million Lebanese people practical skills in generative artificial intelligence and prompt engineering.
Called “One Million Lebanese AI Experts,” the program was announced during a meeting between UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam on the sidelines of the 81st United Nations General Assembly session in New York.
The initiative will be delivered through the UAE’s Government Experience Exchange Programme (GEEP), in cooperation with the Lebanese government. It will focus on fundamental AI skills, including how to formulate prompts and interact more effectively with AI tools.
According to the announcement, the program will be open to people across age groups, professional backgrounds and roles. Its goals include improving productivity, supporting new ways of working and encouraging the development of innovative solutions.
The initiative forms part of GEEP’s broader work to share government expertise and build institutional and human capabilities in partner countries. The two officials also discussed UAE-Lebanon relations, opportunities for cooperation across sectors, and regional developments.
