Etihad Rail has partnered with Q Mobility and Parkin PJSC to develop and operate smart parking systems across its passenger station network as the UAE expands integrated rail travel.
The first phase will cover stations in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Al Dhaid and Fujairah. Q Mobility will manage parking at the Abu Dhabi, Al Dhaid and Fujairah stations, while Parkin will operate the Dubai facility.
According to the announcement, the system will use digital technologies, artificial intelligence and data to optimise parking capacity, improve traffic flow and make connections between road and rail journeys easier. Passengers will also have access to digital payment options across the network.
The partnership is intended to improve access to stations and support a more integrated transport ecosystem in the UAE. Parkin will deploy its digital parking solutions at the Dubai station, including systems designed to simplify vehicle access and payments.
Etihad Rail, Q Mobility and Parkin said the initiative will improve operational efficiency and passenger convenience while supporting the UAE’s wider smart mobility ambitions.
