The UAE Ministry of Economy and Tourism and the Emirates Council for Balanced Development have opened registration for “Nawat Al Qura,” a mobile accelerator supporting Emirati entrepreneurs and small business owners in the country’s villages.
The first cohort will launch in Al Rams, Ras Al Khaimah, in November and run for 24 weeks. It will support 12 projects through a practical programme focused on developing business models, testing products and services in the market, reaching customers and preparing growth plans.
The programme is open to UAE citizens aged 18 and above, applying individually or in teams of up to two people. Additional accelerator stops are planned in other UAE villages in later stages.
The initiative is being delivered by the Ministry of Economy and Tourism in partnership with the Emirates Council for Balanced Development. According to the announcement, it aims to extend entrepreneurship support beyond major centres, connect local projects with markets and help founders build sustainable businesses based on opportunities in their communities.
The accelerator forms part of the UAE’s national entrepreneurship and small and medium-sized enterprise strategy, with a focus on sustainable local economic development.
