Sheraa and University of Al Dhaid Sign MoU to Develop Student Startups

Sharjah Entrepreneurship Center (Sheraa) has signed a memorandum of understanding with the University of Al Dhaid to help students and graduates turn early ideas into scalable startups.

Under the partnership, University of Al Dhaid students and alumni will be able to access Sheraa’s membership programs, business development support and market entry opportunities. They will also be eligible to participate in the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Festival, startup career fairs, innovation challenges and other Sheraa activities.

The two organisations will jointly deliver workshops, seminars and awareness programs focused on entrepreneurship and innovation. They also plan to collaborate on initiatives highlighting startup success stories and opportunities in priority sectors across Sharjah and the UAE.

According to the announcement, the partnership is intended to connect academic talent with market needs and support projects with growth potential. It also extends Sheraa’s work with academic institutions to strengthen links between universities and Sharjah’s startup ecosystem.

The agreement was signed by Sarah Al Nuaimi, executive director of Sheraa, and Aisha Bushleibi, director of the University of Al Dhaid, at the university’s campus.
