The UAE has launched the Blue Content Creators Program, a training initiative for 50 citizens and residents to produce digital content focused on water conservation and sustainability.

The program was launched by the National Media Authority in partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Federal Youth Authority, in collaboration with the New Media Academy. It will train participants in water-related issues, storytelling, video production, digital publishing and artificial intelligence tools.

The three-week program will take place in November. Participants will then create content linked to the 2026 United Nations Water Conference, which the UAE will co-host with Senegal in Abu Dhabi from December 8 to 10.

The initiative is designed to strengthen youth participation in sustainability discussions and make complex water challenges more accessible through digital storytelling. According to the announcement, it will also support public awareness of responsible water consumption and conservation.

The 2026 conference will examine the links between water, health, food, energy and development, while encouraging broader participation in sustainability efforts.
