UNDP Egypt has opened applications for the DEDI Innovates Challenge, a program for young innovators developing green and digital solutions for Egypt.

The challenge is open to applicants with an idea, project or early-stage startup. Teams must include one to five members, all aged 18 to 35. Applicants need to provide proof of completing an ideation bootcamp or equivalent program, a fully completed Business Model Canvas, and a prototype or proof of concept. A certificate from the Greening Your Business course can provide bonus points.

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis by a joint committee. Selected applicants and those placed on the waitlist will be contacted about the next steps. The deadline to apply is 23 October 2026.

The challenge is implemented by UNDP Egypt in partnership with CREATIVA Innovation Hubs, the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) and the Technology Innovation & Entrepreneurship Center (TIEC), under the Danish-Egyptian Dialogue Initiative and in collaboration with Denmark’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
