Abu Dhabi-based technology group G42 and its portfolio company Analog have signed non-binding memoranda of understanding with Paris-based Advanced Machine Intelligence (AMI Labs), the frontier AI company co-founded by Turing Award laureate Yann LeCun.
The agreements were signed during the UAE-France Business Dialogue in Abu Dhabi and cover world models, AI infrastructure, sovereign-enabled cloud and potential industrial applications. The companies will explore how world models could be used across industries and integrated with technology platforms.
World models are AI systems designed to understand physical environments, predict the likely outcomes of actions and support planning. Under the proposed collaboration, AMI Labs would contribute its research, while G42 would provide compute, cloud and deployment capabilities. Analog’s physical intelligence platform would also be part of the effort.
The MoUs establish a framework for information sharing and defining future cooperation, but do not commit either side to spending. Commercial terms, scope and implementation would require separate definitive agreements.
The deal expands G42’s presence in France, building on its Grenoble data centre and partnership with Mistral AI. Analog, founded in 2023 with lead investment from G42, focuses on applications including intelligent cities, autonomous infrastructure, immersive cultural experiences and robotics.
