Algeria Venture and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) have opened applications for their Algeria IP for Business Center, targeting startups and small and medium-sized enterprises developing innovative products, technologies, brands or know-how.
The initiative will help participating businesses strengthen their intellectual property strategies and explore ways to protect and commercialise their innovations. Applicants from all sectors are eligible, with particular attention to digital technologies, agricultural innovation, renewable energy and the blue economy.
Businesses must be registered or in the process of registering in Algeria and developing an asset that could benefit from intellectual property protection or a dedicated IP strategy. Selected applicants must also be available to attend a workshop, participate in an individual follow-up session if required and provide feedback after the workshop, according to the announcement.
