Egypt’s Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport will host the second International Entrepreneurship Research Conference (IERC 2026) from October 26 to 28 at its Smart Village campus in Giza.
The conference will bring together academics, researchers and entrepreneurship experts from several countries. It is being organised by the Prince Mohammad Bin Salman College of Business and Entrepreneurship, Babson Global Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership, the Arab Academy, Saleh Kamel Organization for Sustainable Entrepreneurship and SME Development, and GEN Egypt.
Discussions will cover entrepreneurship, innovation, artificial intelligence, women’s entrepreneurship and the sustainability of family businesses, with a particular focus on emerging economies. Speakers include Diana Hechavarria, William Gartner, Amanda Elam and David Audretsch.
The programme features six research tracks: entrepreneurial behaviour; sustainable and inclusive entrepreneurship; women’s entrepreneurship; digital entrepreneurial ecosystems; family businesses; and public policy.
Key sessions include research presentations, keynote talks and a journal editors’ meeting on October 27. October 28 will feature sessions on women’s entrepreneurship and family businesses, followed by awards for the best research papers and the announcement of the next conference edition.
According to the organisers, IERC 2026 aims to strengthen links between academic research, business and policymakers, while supporting innovation and sustainable economic development in Egypt and the wider region.
